What is People in Housing?
People in Housing is a community for the people working in social housing. We bring together teams from housing associations, local authorities and contractors to swap ideas, talk through shared problems and learn from each other.
We run roundtables and the People in Housing Awards in person across the Midlands, and the People in Housing Podcast features people from across the UK sector. Because when the people doing the work talk to each other, tenants get better homes and services.

Who's behind People in Housing?
People in Housing was founded by Niyaa People, a Birmingham-based recruitment agency specialising in social housing.
Niyaa recruits for housing associations, local authorities and contractors across the country, from housing officers and repairs teams to asset managers and senior leaders.
Speaking to the sector every day, the team kept hearing the same thing. People wanted more chances to learn from each other, and there weren't many places to do it.
So they built one.
"On our podcast, Tony Clark, Regional Director at Seddon, asked me a simple question: does the Midlands have its own housing awards? It didn't. So we built one, and brought it together with our podcast and roundtables to create People in Housing."
